ENTER, WIN! 4 COPIES OF #WHATcanWORDSdo? UP FOR GRABS!!!
I'm sure many young Nigerian poets have been itching to hear who the winners of the #WHATcanWORDSdo? competition for May are...
Well, though I may have been too busy to review the poems, we are definitely achieving my purpose for starting this competition, which was to make sure that young Nigerian poets invade and dominate the Nigerian writing space.
Do you know that I was tagged in almost 700 poems in May alone? Can you beat that? This is awesome because, before this contest started, there were much fewer poems than other writing forms...but the story has changed.
Young Nigerian poets are now being recognized by their peers, around the country and beyond...and the best thing of it all is that the quality of their forms are improving beyond my expectation.
Please, my young poets, clap for yourselves!! We are getting there.
I know I can't really read all the poems to decide who the winners for May are so we will have it in a new pattern - a simple one.
There are 4 copies of What can Words Do? to be given out for May and the giveaway is going to happen on my blog.
All you have to do is write a poem of no more than 10 line on any of these themes:
#BringBackOurGirlsBoko Haram2015 ElectionsMaya Angelou
Then drop the poem as a comment there between today and FRIDAY. You can enter as many poems as you want.
I will award the prize to the poems I feel are best after I read them...
Past winners on my book are not allowed to participate in this edition....though they can help me judge by analyzing the poem I think Mr. Agarau, Sir Jamesconco and the others can weigh in an opinion or two.
NOTE: YOU DON'T HAVE TO ASK ANY BODY TO LIKE OR COMMENT ON YOUR POEM!! JUST DROP YOUR POEM AND LEAVE. SHIKENA!
