CHICKENS IN KITCHENS (GRAPHIC VIDEO)

we are mere chickens
in these killers' kitchens
yes, we are mere rams, goats
slaughtered with religious oaths
...
our nation is in chains
looted for personal gains
hungry, we all go scavenging
to meet deaths none is avenging
...
today its eighty
yesterday seventy
tomorrow is a hundred
every day with its dread

...
none is surprised
our lives are prices
we are mere chickens
in these killers' kitchens

Just like you reading this article right now, many people left their houses in Abuja this morning with plans for their future, but they died in the Nyanya bomb blast that claimed scores of lives.
Already, figures of the dead are put around 100. For what?
What battles are we fighting that warrant the massacre of poor, innocent Nigerians who are only looking for their daily bread – some of them may have planned to do things tomorrow but they are gone.
Some husbands may have not said goodbyes to their wives and wives may have left their homes with grudges against their husbands while some children may have left home mad at their parents... but now they are gone.
All this for unfounded hate! When will we map our ways to the path of peace, love and unity?
I leave you with this poem.
Let us all work for the peace of our country.

  1. Please taste
    Its a piece of meat
A meat not from my mother's kitchen
A meat not tried in the fire
A meat not baked in the sun
A meat prepared by bullets and bombs
sold and distributed by Boko Haram Butchers

  2. So very sorry for Nigeria's loss. Boston is marking the Marathon bombing anniversary (when 3 were killed) today and we share your pain.

    1. The Boston bombings were horrific too. What is wrong with humans?
